Shortlisted Blogs – 2012

Congratulations to everyone who was nominated in the Education Blog Awards 2012. There are thousands of education blogs in the UK, so for someone to nominate your blog is a great honour. We have had nearly 8000 votes, for over 900 blogs – more than double the number we got in 2011!

Listed below are the ten blogs in each category that got the most votes – these are the blogs that the judges will now go and, well, judge. If your blog is listed, congratulations! Put up a ‘shortlisted’ badge on your blog and we’ll be in touch when the results are in!

Goodness me! What an honour & so exciting. Thank you for all your energy into this super award. There is so much wonderful work being done by schools & teachers that it is right and proper that they are saluted. I’m proud to be among them. Thanks again!

Thanks so much to everyone who nominated “I’m a teacher, get me OUTSIDE here!” – it’s a testimony to the growing numbers of practitioners who are interested in, and importance to, giving children opportunities to learn where it most suits their needs – and this can be outside. (It’s the creativestarlearning.blogspot link)

I have to say, in terms of influential blogs, Pedagoo, is the one! A real grass-roots blog by practitioners who believe in the good of education. It is flourishing and please do join in and contribute. From this blog has sprouted various meetings and activities. Well done to all involved.

  • MisterConnor

Yaaay! Enormo-thanks to everyone who voted for http://www.misterconnor.com

And well done to all the other blogs. Some fantastic work being done by pupils and teachers across the country.

  • Rglass

Thank you so much to the folks who continue to support and encourage all of the students represented by these wonderful blogs. The Glass Class has only been blogging since January but the learning we have accomplished and the friendships we have made will last a lifetime. We look forward to getting to know the teachers and students who make up the rest of our groups. We will be learning from you :)
Congratulations and best wishes to all.
